Star Trek Theme?

I was curious as has anyone tried making a Star Trek theme for G1 yet? The geek in me wishes there was one similar to ones that is available for the Iphone. Since I have something with a touch screen I would like to have the screen look like a LCARS display. A bunch of Star Trek sound FX. That would just be cool!
 
If you find me some material (images, icons, wallpapers) I can make something up. But lets aim for the TNG or newer stuff. ;)

I think I could find stuff like sound effects and what not from TNG,DS9,Voyager era of Star Trek. But not sure about the icons. There is a website that has a bunch of custom made LCAR graphics. Not sure if they would be what you can use. It's a shame that you can use Iphone apps on G1.

Im very interested in an LCARS theme or skin for my G1/android.

I googled and found this StarTrek4u: LCARS Stills Not sure if its any help to you guys, hopefully i.

godspeed in making this happen! Im too much of a noob to make a skin but I'd love to help testing or in any way I can.
 
The aHome "Star" theme is my favorite to-date .... rather futuristic in its choice of icon ... the folders are plain and could have been done more space like ...

I would suggest you might email mappn .. or check their web page for "Star" theme ...

I am not sure why it would have disappeared from the market ... I did a search using Cyret and could not find it ....

Mappn may have removed the "Free" version of "STAR" but the have a pay version called "Futuristic" which i think uses the same Icons...
 
I'm busy with a kind of LCARS theme, but am stuck with the icons.
My screen (SE X10) is devided in 4x4 squares, but LCARS is more about rectangles.

ATM I only have a background and slide-buttons.

Anybody got a hint ? ;)

Buy, hey, ST JJA has its influenzes from SW ;)

But it's hard to create a nice theme because of the button size.
The aHOME Lcars-theme is just a background with themed buttons. Not with integrated buttons.

I'm stuck at this part too.

I think I'll go and check different themes for my X10.
 
Okay, so this is what I've been working on for some time (in between my Android7 Theme, which has been taking up most of my creative time):

I will be creating all of these shapes in all of the LCARS colors, but I would like some input on something that will not be easily customizable by most people who will be using this theme:

The top header that says "ANDROID LCARS" will be a universal header for each homescreen (If someone chooses to have headers on their screens).

I already have some other headers that say: Communication, Digital Media, Entertainment, Master Systems, Operations, Subspace Com Net, System Index, and Telemetry.

Does anyone else have any suggestions for other titles for the headers? They don't have to be Star Trek related specifically... but just things that most Android users would have a homescreen categorized as.

Just looking for suggestions. This theme is still in the works but nearing completion. I'm beginning to work on reskinning some widgets to match the theme and will eventually come up with a live wallpaper that can go behind these icons to show some Star Trek computer animations.

This wallpaper is looking good, something LCARs based is definitely needed! Not too sure on further headings, the ones you've got already seem to cover a wide range. Looking forward to seeing more of this.

Just an FYI, though... it's not a wallpaper. Each "block" is a Desktop Visualizer widget that can be set to any link. This way you can set it up any way you want with split sections and different colors.

I'm trying to set up templates so users can edit and make their own png's with custom text on them to name the links respectively.

I'm also working on dummy buttons that just activate Star Trek computer sound effects, as well as reskinning other widgets (SMS/Gmail notifiers, etc.) to match.

Also, the bottom part of the LCARS is the actual functional dock. I'm trying to make this theme as practical as I can rather than just "pretty". Hopefully, it will end up being kind of useful.
 
Are there any updates on this lcars app being available for download? It is a very cool theme and something I would be very interested in using...

Still in progress. WidgetLocker lockscreen for LCARS coming along as well.

The more I see that people are interested in this layout, the more I am motivated to complete it.
