Help Start/Lockbutton won't work anymore

Hi!
I have a samsung galaxy pocket and it really worked fine for a few months but suddenly I have the problem that I can't lock my phone anymore. I also can't put it on standby or airplane mode. It's pretty annoying because I'm 'scared' to shut my phone down (if I can shut him down, I don't know). I guess he wouldn't turn on anymore..

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem or is there some that recognize this problem? :/

Hello vsdt. Welcome to Android Forums.

Sometimes that sort of issue can develop in a couple of different ways, and some have remedies.

1. You may have downloaded an app or widget that is robbing the system of vital services at too rapid a pace for your device... so you'll have to think a bit about which newer apps you've installed lately and then remove them, then test for proper operation. Suspects are usually task killers/managers.

2. You may need to perform a factory data reset ("hard reset") in order to restore the device to its original condition (as long as you have not run a root exploit at some point).

Prior to the reset, which you may not need to do, go through your Application Manager in the main settings menu and do some "house cleaning," by clearing data and cache on all 3rd party apps... and as I said, remove any task killers/managers that did not come with the device as a stock item.

3. If moisture or impact has damaged the device, you may need to take it in for replacement or repair.
