I've had my Xperia S for a little less than a month now, however since updating the software to .73 via the PC Companion application on my Windows 7 laptop, I've experienced what appears to me to be a unique problem.
Upon switching off the phone earlier today, the Xperia will start up as far as the 'Sony' logo before automatically restarting itself and repeating over and over again until the battery drains itself to death.
Being new to the android scene (former iPhone user) I've browsed google, including this forum for a solution to the problem, however after performing the 'repair' tool, I found this eliminates the problem for a short period of time until I perform my own personal settings on the phone such as e-mail syncing, etc. I've even flashed the device to roll-back to a previous software version (.67), however this also has no impact on the issue.
I've run out of options, and resorted to registering on this site to see if anyone has experienced exactly the same issue and whether there's a solution I'm missing here. Otherwise it looks like I'll have to contact my service provider for a replacement.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
