Help Status Bar has dissapeared

I have a standard HTC Desire S no mods - last thing I installed were two apps/widgets for turning on and off Wireless and Bluetooth (Curvefish) Before this I did install GETJAR to get a free version of SOLO a guitar chord app. (I note Solo diables the status bar to use full screen) When I came to look at the phone today the status bar at the top of the home screen has vansished. Can't find anything in the user guide, Androide 2.3 Guide or googling to tell me how to get it back. There is no status bar on/off app. Any idea how to get it back? Thanks Dave
 
Have you tried changing skins? Personalize > Skin > Select different skin.

If you press the Menu key > Notifications, does it come back then?
 
Hi - Yes went to another skin - Travel and back to the standard skin
Tried menu and notifications - no effect.

Also on off the phone a few times
