Does anyone happen to know what the red and green horizontal arrows mean on my status bar? Any response will be appreciated thanks!

not sure what it really is but it looks awfully similar to the old GPRS Packet Data connection active indicator i used to see on old flip phones back in the day. with the WiFi on it's hard to tell but i also am not sure if the Note 3 even supports GPRS. it's an outdated system in this day and age. Verizon has '1x' when it's in a similar mode but i would guess you have a T-Mobile or AT&T model?

The circle slash I icon appeared on my status bar and nobody seems to know what it means nor how to remove it. Any advice and insights?

That means you don't have any service I believe, or perhaps you turned on blocking mode?

Blocking mode can be turned off in the Settings.

This icon remains with the phone is on 3/4G, when it is on WiFi, and with Airport mode on or off, and does not appear to impact functionality. Can find nothing in the setup menu that relates to it. - Sam L.

if your phone is an LTE phone the circle with slash means no voice signal, but you can still have 3/4G LTE access. the signal 'bars' do not reflect the actual data service, which is separate (LTE phones like a Verizon Note 3 use the SIM card for data and the CDMA radio for voice). for example at home i have one bar of voice but still manage 4G LTE. some places i have zero bars but still have 3G or 1X data.

In all Nature UX variants of TouchWiz, the circle/slash (what i call a 'just say no' symbol because it looks like the old D.A.R.E. promo) has always meant 'no service'.

Looking further for the horizontal green/red bars, this seems to be a VoLTE capability in testing phase, so some might see this appear off/on.
