Got my Steinheil Crystal Clear protector today ... I have never actually had a screen protector on a phone before, because I never wanted what I have seen on others phones, they looked aweful.

I can now understand the rave reviews on these Steinheils, with it held up at an angle under a light it looks like a peice of glass .. you cannot tell its a protector its flat and clear and as shiny as it looked without the protector (who knows about long term scratches n such but initially its definitely glass like as far as looks)

I got zero dust under mine after install, its perfect as far as I can tell and I am looking at it like some sort of anal psycho :)

Finger drag is very minimal ... does it feel exactly the same as without it? No but its very close and only a slight drag which is really only noticible because I had been using it naked ... I do not expect to notice this in the slightest once I use it for more than the few minutes that I have had the protector on so far.

I swiped several times and held at an angle under a light, it does seem to definatly reduce the fingerprints alot better than the raw glass.

Very happy with this and glad I got it.

Easy install as well ... never put one on before but I did wet a small peice of paper towel with a small amount of windex to get it perfectly clean and right before install used the supplied micro fiber cloth, then used supplied squeegy (had my phone powered off during install)

Once powered on, again its as clear as it was without it, not a blur in sight, very nice.
 
Good info. I think with the minimal drag and minor improvement on fingerprints coupled with the perfect clarity I may go with this over the AF cover.
 
Where did you get it? Everything I've read says Steinheil hasn't made them for the Incredible yet. It's great to see they have come out with them!
 
Hows the soft button sensitivity? Thats the main thing i'm worried about. Do you have to press them more than once to get it to function or does it work on the first press everytime?

Just tested it over and over and its as if there were no protector on it at all, same as for screen as well
 
Just installed mine and it looks great aside from a small bubble near the button on the bottom. Do these typically need time to cure like others?
 
Ya greedy bastages...you bought them all up already!

BTW - I wouldn't use paper towels to clean the screen. Paper products can scratch glass.
 
Mine had a small bubble by the optical joystick, I just worked the air out using the protective layer you peel off and pushing air toward the open joystick hole ... you removed the optical joystick cutout right?

Yes, the cutout is gone. Theres just this tiny little bubble that I cant work out for the life of me.
 
Just got mine today to, will be putting it on tomorrow.

Anymore tips to help with the install?

I tried but my camera just caused major flash glare, its not a great camera, besides the fact if I could get a good picture it would look like there is not a thing on the screen .. its just that glossy and clear ... looks just like a phone without a protector.

Fit on these is great as well, has a cutout (hole) just for optical joystick and small cutout at the top for speaker grill, they make the protectors just a hair small so you dont have any issues with it riding up on the plastic edges around phone, these cover entire glass of the phone.

Make sure you do a test fit before you start to apply it so you know exactly how far to space it from the edge.
 
I dont know. The more I use this thing, the less Im liking it. Sometimes it feels like there is so much extra drag and other times its smooth as butter.

Yeah they were in stock when I put that link up, then minutes later not in stock, same thing happened on Monday when I ordered.

It really a pitty that they make the die to cut them and don't just runoff several thousand, I mean once you have the die to cut them, whats the problem?

The packaging is basically the same on all their Crystal Clear covers except they stick a small generic white label on it saying, HTC_Droid Incredible
