Root step by step guide plz?

can anyone tell me step by step instructions on how to root the charge??? talk to me like i'm a re-****...


mine is coming in 2 days...I want to get this done right away but with all the terminology, i am all confused.

I just changed from the DINC to the Charge on June 26, and I'm just about ready to root. I rooted my DINC last year and now I see the language used is changed. I have been reading and it looks like the way to root the D. Charge is to install a rooted kernel. Is this true?
If so, is there an explanation on the procedure and files to do so? Also, the day I activated my D. Charge, it did an update. Will this make any difference?
Any info to bring me up to date will be appreciated.

The link you quoted has step-by-step procedures on how to root/CWM/ROM your phone, which is done by installing a rooted kernel. Accepting the EE4 update will not affect your ability to root/ROM your phone.
