Help Stereo Audio Balance in Android 4.4.2?

Lakis01

Lurker
Dear community,

my left earphone is considerably quieter than the right one, so I thought I could compensate that via the Audio Balance Settings. The Problem is I can't find this anywhere. Is there any way to do this with a phone, that is not rooted A system solution would be preferred (instead of say an equalizer app)?

Best regards!

XSorry but the only solution I can think of involves an app..
I use PowerAmp music player (it has a free 14 day trial and the bonus of being an excellent music player) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer.BaseThemeableActivity

For a universal solution (not just music), I think you'll have to try some EQ apps. I had a look through the top like ten and this is the only one with balance support https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=music.equalizer.bassbooster
Good luck

FWIW my phone has native EQ but no balance control..
Maybe yours has though. What phone is it?

PS if one channel really is much quieter than the other, the gain involved in equalising them will probably sound horrible :(

A good EQ (if you're Rooted) would be ViPER4Android.apk since it has everything you're asking for and more.

Unfortunately PowerAmp doesn't work for me. I have encoded my audio files in opus, thus I can only play those via VLC. As an external music player app PowerAmp can't read opus. Thanks for the suggestion anyway!
I hope VLC or Android will include the pan balance feature in the future.
