Steve Jobs at it again.

Oh Apple and their wanting of absolute control of what you can do with your phone.

These are small companies trying to make a living, they want to trust Apple as a reliable partner and poof! all that time and effort goes down for nothing.

is Jobs TRYING to look more like a tyranical asshat, lol well it sucks for those devs (that app looked nice lol) but it makes Android look better =P

He's trying to see how much he can get away with and every new iPad buyer vindicates him and leads to more bullying.

Dang, thats just...?? I mean seriously?? Is the owner of the phone allowed to decide if they want certain apps or not?

Isn't iPhone OS 4 supposed to include some type of widgets and multi-tasking?

I figured these are being removed because of Apple's "If we put it on the phone, then our software is best so no competitors are allowed." mindset.

Apple, as always is aiming for total control over customer.vitrual and real one.when you just look at mac computers, you are completely dependant on everything.your hard disk goes bricked-take it to official dealer! you want mora RAM-take it to official dealer!
and the way I see OS,it's completely closed environment in which you can do what you're allowed to do.
Apple is kinda like nazi movement for 21'st century.complete control and 'do what you're told' philosophy.
they are forcing you to like their programs, cos',well there's no alternative.and when better one comes by an enthusiast it's killed in the root.
that's what happened here with that widget.
I can't belive there are still die hard mac fans out there.they must be blind.

I used to have an iPhone 3G, and then a 3GS - I got fed up with the fact that I couldn't have the phone how I wanted it (after all, I flippin' paid for it!) without jailbreaking it first. I've got an HTC Desire now which is the first Android phone I've owned, and I love it.

The thing that really gets me is the fact that, because Steve Jobs says that Flash is going to be superseded, Apple don't bother to include Flash support on their devices! It's just ludicrous. Regardless of whether or not Flash is on it's way out, there are still hundreds of millions of videos on the internet that 'iPeople' with iPods, iPhones (and iPads) want to watch. And they can't. Because Steve Jobs said so. Tw*t.

It's even more unbelievable that the diehard Apple fanboys refuse to acknowledge that there are much, MUCH better alternatives out there to their fancy bits of black, white and silver plastic!
