Just wanted to say that I am still SO happy with my Note after 1 year of ownership, the device has been flawless and remains an absolute powerhouse even compared to more recent machines.
I have played with the HTC One X+ with the updated T37 Tegra, and of course the Note 2, both on paper are way superior in terms of raw power. But the fact is that although they are indeed faster, the Note still performs ALL of the given tasks well and does it with power to spare. Just like tonight I used my Note to create a themed HD video clip using the native Video Maker app, and it performed the task with so much ease that I am reminded that this device is still amongst the very best.
Whilst the market is becoming saturated with new and powerful hardware, and I do admit I am tempted by anything with the S4 Pro chipset (i.e Nexus 4), however, the Note still performs like a champ even against all the new beasts.
There seems to be a new super phone being unveiled every week, and I wonder how many people could really actually afford or need these devices, whilst its easy to forget just what a powerful and useful phone the Note is.
However tempted I am, I will be holding on to the Note for a while yet and enjoy the breathtaking screen and ample power that it has. Personally I will be waiting for the time when A15 processors become common place, a large part of me is hoping that the Note 3 will have this processor and that Samsung will continue to add great value to its bundled software.
For now though, my Note continues to be my number 1
