Still Confident Bravo is coming to Verizon

So my awesome Bravo won't be LTE compatible?

Nope. Verizon's LTE will be in the 700mhz spectrum which they went after like a crackhead to free samples in the FCC auction and I think got something like 50% of the spectrum. Far as I know none of the radios in current or near future cell phones use 700mhz for Verizon.

So will AT&T's. They just bought less of the spectrum. So I'm not entirely clear on how this will work. I suppose there will be a broad range in the 700MHz and up range for an LTE radio to work over and the phone will be able to lock in to the carrier specific range? Perhaps it's defined in the SIM card?

Most likely its going to be what part of the spectrum they have. Verizon got the C-block spectrum (747- to 792-MHz aka formerly UHF) everywhere except Alaska, Puerto Rico and the Gulf of Mexico. AT&T Got the B block. So I'm guessing the radios will be tuned to that range for the carrier and that almost all of Verizon's network can be upgraded to LTE.

I see my contact this week, tuesday/Wednesday,and it goes without saying there will be no evidence, like photos, I will be making sure I have a release date confirmed,

a release date for your area or for the states? does your "contact" only have some good info about the european side of this phone, or is he privileged to US release info too?

Seriously, newsradio, what's with the paranoia? I saw a response to this earlier and now it has been deleted.

Newsradio, I want to believe you. And I think I'm going to give you a second chance. I mean, we have bee hard on you.

Are we for sure it is going to be running Android? I'm excited to hear the release date, and network for that matter.

newsradio what do you mean when you say its going to he the touch hd? do yu just mean its going to look like it design wise?

I'm going to miss the trackball – that's for sure, but I think I'll live.

So this week you are going to release the release dates and networks?

basically itll look like the pics we originally saw but with soft keys instead...making it resemble the touch hd...kool

When making a typing mistake, it is nice to get the exact area of the mistake rather than touching the screen ten times before getting there.

ruben you will still be able to do that it is just going to be optical instead of a ball. kind of like how most mice had a ball until they got more advanced and went with the laser for optical

Can you tell me a phone that has that so I can see a picture? I guess that will be nice because then the trackball won't get dirty.

thats exactly what it is.
the mouse works alright but the touchscreen is SO bad that you have to know how to use the mouse.

The Optical Mouse? I wouldn't know. I just used it as an actual cursor--one of the flagship features on the phone. Turns out it needed it because the touchscreen sucked.
