Are you sure that when it goes white, you don't have internet? Technically, the white means that the phone isn't connecting to the Google servers. When data completely drops, you should be losing the whole 4G logo altogether, and just have plain white bars or a roaming symbol.

LOL. yes I am sure. You are incorrect when you claim that data drops don't occur when the 4G is white. I get "connection lost" messages in games, I can't get data from apps such as newspaper, engadget, flipboard, etc, etc. get it??? (I've only had my bionic since launch day--I think I know when I have no data...)

In that case. I loose connection to google servers more times a day than I can count.

I sometimes see the symbol go blue/white/blue...more than three times a minute, on and on and on...very annoying. other times, in the same location, its solid blue for hours. My wife has been complaining a lot more lately that hers is doing the same thing at both work and home--she used to have a reliable connection.

i was having the same. still on gbread as well. but finally after speaking with Verizon tech. we did all except master reset. new sim, safe mode, etc. i have dramatic improvement by removing Advanced Task Killer. Hope this helps others.

I've had 3 bionics, done resets, never used Advanced Task Killer, plus my wife's Bionic makes FOUR bionics and they have all dropped 4G, so your solution isn't the solution for everyone. I've had a couple of SIM's too, btw. When I DO have sudden, frequent drop outs, PULLING THE SIM seems to fix the issue for a while, leading me to believe it's not the network, but something (s/w?) in the phone. Furthermore, it's not the network if one Bionic is losing 4G in the same room as the other one is stable--could be either my wife's phone or mine, that is losing 4G, but NEVER SIMULTANEOUSLY.

The weirdest case I ever saw reported was ... the same phone ... standard 5' wide desk ... one end of desk ... no problem ... other end of desk ... data drops.

I constantly had / have 4G data drops with my Bionic. Called Verizon, although the lady was nice, she said the only thing they could do was have me do a factory reset, and if that didn't solve the problem, to offer a different phone.

So I bit the bullet and just turned 4G off. I know it is stupid to have a high end 4G phone and the only way to make it behave is by tying its hands, but I have had no 3G data issues... Except that it is SLOW compared to the 4G (that I paid for and cannot use.... Grrr.)

Hoping for an Android update that will solve this issue, but so far.... No luck.

verizon hates me (don't know why, but that seems to be the case). they WON'T give me a Razr Max and despite my having returned a bionic for replacement many weeks ago, I am fighting a$589 charge due to "non return of equipment" despite the fact that I have proof they received the old phone back. I truly hate Verizon. really, honestly, no joking. they don't give a crap about their long term customers.

That's rough.... My wife and I got 2 Bionics and my 1st one didn't work at ALL, so they sent me a second one. They did warn me that if I didn't return the 1st one, there would be a huge bill on my account....

Next billing cycle it showed as pending, so I called to inquire as to WTF happened with the extra phone I sent them. lol. The lady was very nice, and explained to me that they put the charge on there and manually have to take it off once the phone shows up. The old phone showed up, and the bill did not end up being +600 bucks.

I don't like $600 surprises. lol.

Knock on wood, I have ALWAYS had a great customer service experience with them any time I have had to call.

my charge isn't "pending". it's for real. they have had my phone for A MONTH and yet they won't issue a credit in the billing department because they claim the department that received it has to somehow clear it EVEN THOUGH VERIZON ACKNOWLEDGES THEY RECEIVED THE PHONE ON THE 23 of LAST MONTH. TRuly unbelievable. they KNOW they have it, yet they won't issue the credit for the return. TRUE. crazy but true. I am SO pissed at them. this kind of crap makes me consider going for a dumb phone on a prepay plan and to hell with smartphones.

Yeah, I really don't know what is with Verizon's thinking. It's almost like they want existing customers to leave them the way they treat people.

While I haven't had the misfortune that you have had as far as a fraudulent charge, I don't like the fact they have gone from a loyalty discount to a loyalty fee.
