Still hating autobrightness!!!

just jumped from the DX to the Thunderbolt and can't believe the autobrightness still sucks! sucks because it's never right and sucks because it makes the display use even more juice! here's my fix from the DX... u guys know of something better?

Do what everyone else does - DON'T use auto-brightness. Period.

I put mine on 75% most of the time. Sometimes 50%. Either way, it sucks in sunlight and is perfect in low to normal light situations.

Screen brightness is literally nothing more than personal preference. A manufacturer default setting will not please every single person. As suggested above, just turn it off and set a brightness you are fine with.
