You still have time!!! Go to the market and pickup Camera Zoom FX for $ 0.10!!! In my opinion, I have been using it all day, it fixes ANY and all issues with the camera lag and takes amazing pictures!
 
why is it that I've had 3 bionics (launch, wife's, replacement) and they never had an issue with shutter delay. pre/post update, the shutter delay is under a half-second. yet some people gripe about their's being slow. granted in low light it takes a while. it does on a P&S also.
