Help Still on 2.1

How can I get my unrooted incredible on froyo?
I already did a factory reset and nothing happened...

Did you try going to Settings > About Phone > System Update?

Yes I have and I even called verizon and they transferred me to HTC and a rep gave me some instructions and told me to do a factory reset and I still have no update...
