Don't be worried; you are ok. If something was wrong, AT&T would have e-mailed or called you.
AT&T checked the card (got an authorization to make sure the money is ok and the order will go smoothly) so the bank put the hold on the money; until AT&T charges the card, it is only an authorization. Since the order has not shipped, the card has not been charged and the bank has released the funds. Per the AT&T site, the phone will not ship until 11/6, so your pre-order will stay "processing" until it ships. I ordered mine on 11/1 and have run into the same thing.
