Help Stock android lock screen

Sorry for the newb questions but i cant seem to get the search function to work properly. Anyways i had a quick question i have the galaxy s2 for ATT and i was wondering what i had to do in order to have a stock android lock screen. Do i have to root or is their an easier way to get it?

WidgetLocker has several different lock screen options including the stock sliders from froyo to ICS. It really expands past the stock screens where you can add widgets and shortcuts to the lockscreen.

There's also Go Locker which is free but a) you have to use it conjunction with Go Launcher (might work with ADW too) and b) because it's so new it's not as fully featured as WidgetLocker yet.
