I have stopped using the pre-installed stock apps for text and Gmail as they do not work. I have found alternatives. Problem is you cant uninstall them. Has anybody else found this?

No. My stock apps run fine.
I have stopped using the pre-installed stock apps for text and Gmail as they do not work. I have found alternatives. Problem is you cant uninstall them. Has anybody else found this?
1) the stock apps. work fine for me (actually the wife's phone but I'm her 'IT' department ...). Perhaps if you posted what problems you're having we could help fix them?
2) to get rid of stock apps you need to root the phone. Plenty of threads on that here and over on xda-developers.
