Help Stock Apps

I would like to remove most of the stock applications, I am very particular about the way my phone operates and how it looks and I get sick to my stomach when I have to look through my apps because there are so many I don't want to be on there. How do I go about removing them.

If you long click on an app icon, if it is removable, it will give you the option to uninstall. Having said that, there are a lot of stock apps that are not removable without rooting your phone. Is that something you would be interested in doing?
