Stock browser and 2.1

Is it me or is the browser slower than it was in 1.5? There's serious lag when clicking on links or when you select a bookmark. Anyone else experiencing this?

I notice just the opposite. The 2.1 browser is way faster and smoother in every aspect compared to 1.5.
