Help Stock browser stopped working (only in data mode)

Recently I upgraded to KI1 and also, after the upgrade, factory reset the phone. This was a couple days back. Today I noticed the stock browser stopped loading websites, but this only happens when using network data. I'll try to load a website and it will fail saying "webpage cannot be displayed". If i connect to a wi-fi network, it works just fine. Also, using network data, I CAN use Opera to browse the web with no problems at all.
Anyone have a similar problem? Any advice would be really appreciated.
 
Yes, I first tried resetting the browser to default settings and since that didn't work I tried clearing data on the browser app. That didn't work either. I ended up resetting the phone to factory settings again, but unfortunately, to no avail.
I'm starting to think it might be an issue with my carrier...The only browser that works is Opera Mini. Neither stock browser, nor Dolphin, nor Opera Mobile can load any websites. And if it is a problem with my carrier I can't understand why would Opera Mini and all other internet accessing apps work.

Hi I have a HTC Desire HD with the 2.3.5 firmware, and am experiencing the same issue - I am able to access mobile internet only through Opera Mini (thanks for that tip!). I can access data perfectly through WiFi, and through mobile for most apps execpt the browsers.

Did you figure out what is causing the issue?

Hi,

Did anyone found the resolution to this issue. I am using a Samsung Infuse and I have come across the same issue but mine is a little more bizarre. If I try to manipulate the settings for the browser like Authentication and so on, it works for some time. And if I leave it idle for a minute or two the it comes back to its original condition.

Are you guys facing the same issue as well.

I could not find any post like this and once I saw I was hoping for a resolution, please let me know if anyone has found the resolution to this.

Because of this my belief in iPhone is getting stronger and stronger.

I'm not really familiar with the infuse so I'm not sure i can be too much help. I can however move these last two posts into their own thread in the infuse forum if that's ok. You'll probably get some more relevant advice there
 
hey, I have the same issue on my micromax a50. none of the android browsers like inbuilt browser, skyfire, opera mobile, dolphin hd don't work on mobile data. but works fine on WiFi. Bowers like opera mini and dolphin mini works on both WiFi and mobile data. all other apps are working well.

please help
 
Did you download any apps that restrict the data usage? A lot of antivirus apps allow you to restrict the apps data to wifi only. Even 3G watchdog can do that. Any of apps like those playing around with your browsers? Maybe some settings in the browsers?

Go to setting> mobile network>APN setting >create a new profile help of or carrer
