Root Stock camera

Hello

I am running leedroid but would like the stock/shipped camera back. Can anyone advise me how to go about this please?
 
I believe that since it runs on the sense framework (as long as I am thinking of the right ROM) you could adb pull the camera.apk from a stock backup and install it on leedroid.

The stock camera requires the sense framework stuff so as long as all that hasn't been changed it should work on it.
 
Do you have a nandroid backup from your stock ROM? You would need to have the stock ROM to be able to pull it.

If you have a flashable version of the stock ROM (in .zip format, not a nandroid) you can just unzip it and find the file in that ROM and use that.
 
If you know of one that uses the stock camera you can download the zip and extract the apk from there.

I have tried some of the ROMs, but I haven't used the camera on them all. So I couldn't tell you which one to get. I do have the stock ROM on my phone right now, so if you can't get it out of one of the ROMs I could pull it and post it for you.

Just make sure you make a nandroid of what you currently have in case there is some issue with the framework causing the camera app not to work, that way it will be easier to go back to what you have now. :)

Thanks, that saved me! I pull the Camera.apk from system/app, push the new one (that you sent) to system/app then reboot. Camera is missing from my app drawer... help!! (Restoring nandroid works but then it is still the old camera)
