Help Stock Email Issue

Here is the issue I am trying to resolve after spending an hour or so on the phone with VZW support his weekend.

On my stock email app, when I go to send an email to one particular contact, as I start typing the name, it pops up with several options for contacts. Unfortunately, however, for one contact there are two options, the first one that pops up has her name and underneath it there are brackets with nothing in the brackets. The second contact for her has her name and her email address in the brackets.

Not realizing that there was no email address associated with the first contact, I kept trying to send emails and got an error message back saying that the email could not send.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the email accounts, I have deleted the contacts from my phone and reinstalled them, I have deleted the contact from Gmail and reinstalled it and it still pops up with 2 options.

Now, to make it stranger still, when I send email from the K9 mail app and try to send it to this contact, it sends perfectly and only one option pops up. Anyone have any idea how I get rid of the option that shows no email address? When I go to the contact, it only shows one email address (there is no blank second address or anything..)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried deleting the K9 mail app to see if that eliminates the 2nd contact? When you delete it, do a delete after you clear the data. Oh and back everything up before messing with it oh and even more importantly, I am not responsible for any of your data loss.... Good luck....
