Help Stock EMAIL program not working properly.

Ok, I am extremely disappointed in the STOCK EMAIL program on my EPIC. I have it set to check email every hour and it does NOT. I have to open it up and refresh it to check my email. Any thoughts?
 
u can auto forward your mail to the gmail app then view it that way. responding will use that gmail tho which for me sucks .. or u can always use the stock one for responding. or ditch the stock app & use one from the market
 
yeah, i found that the email app didn't work too well. i AM happy with the stock GMAIL app tho, which seems to receive messages within a minute or so. for other accounts i just use hotmail and yahoo bookmarks on my home screen and use the mobile sites... works great. but maybe also K9 as mentioned above...
