Anyone have good alternatives to the stock keyboard? I can't stand the way the predictive text area pops up and down all the time, it is driving me nuts, especially when in a program like face.book chat , it's got the whole screen popping up and down. I have ultra keyboard on my HTC inc. but it seems way too big and unable to adjust properly on the Samsung.
 
I asked the same question a while back with no response. I'm sure as this device becomes more popular, we will find better keyboards in the Market. I wish Samsung would offer a keyboard more like their mobile smart phones. I hated the auto correct. It rarely got the words right. Also, we need tap & hold keys for symbols/punctuation.
 
I have been using Hacker's Keyboard (free app) for almost a month and love it. It has nice separation between the backspace and enter keys (I was always mis-hitting enter). Plus it has arrow keys for simple cursor movement.
 
AI works great! I don't use text prediction anyway, so I won't care if that locks after the trial.

no more annoying opening/closing of the spellcheck box. Thanks!
 
I'm using Swype, which I sideloaded, and it works great. I find it MUCH faster than having to tap each letter.
