Help stock mail app layout poorly designed

I use stock mail app for my corporate Exchange e-mail. Is there a way to increase the separation between the large Sender name and the Subject line? The Sender name is partially superimposed on the latter... I do use Large font, but still, the spacing should be adjusted automatically...
