Help Stock messaging app not showing contact names

Hi all,

I noticed a problem lately with the stock messaging app. If someone texts me first (starting a completely new conversation thread), the contact name won't show in the conversation list. However when I open the conversation itself, the name, picture, number shows correctly. However in the conversation list it will just show as a blank image and a phone number, as if it wasn't a contact on my phone. This problem only happens when someone texts me first and starts a new thread; if I am the one to start a thread it shows normally.

What do?

Try deleting the contact and then re-adding them.
