Stock Music Player questions

I've just started playing with the stock music player, and on the surface it seems OK. I like the fact that it picked up the music on my NAS automatically, I've had to download a separate app for this on other Android devices I've used. The only thing about this is that it only seems to display all songs, I can't view by artist, album, or folder for items on the network storage. Also, when I view by folder for music on my SD card, there are no nested folders.

Am I missing anything, or are these just limitations on the stock player?

I didn't like it because it didn't play all of my songs and had trouble streaming to my car. I use Power Amp and it plays all of my songs and streams without a hitch.
