Root Stock Rom/Files

I will upload and backup of stock ROM unroot and other one root full stock you just have to put the backup in cwm folder and then restore from recovery I will upload this weekend too much work no time

Hi so I am somewhat of a nube to rooting but I have successfully rooted and installed custom roms on both my nexus 4 and nexus 7 with relative ease. Now I was trying to help a friend with his ZTE Avid to get him better battery life and performance so i rooted following yalls awesome instructions and installed shabby penguins cwm and ICSCUP custom rom. It worked fine for a couple weeks then all of a sudden he started getting "unfortunately ... has stopped" for pretty much all gapps. I've tried restoring from the stock backup to no avail just gets stuck in boot loop. I have also tried the method u described here but i keep getting the status 7 error message! I have flashed all of the custom roms available but in all of them except Slimstock+ i cant even get past the setup screen. Slimstock+ makes the phone somewhat useable but still prompts "unfortunately ... has stopped" If you could offer some advice it would be greatly appreciated. I have been pulling my hair out for two days straight scouring forums all over the web and trying everything suggested.:argh: Thanks in advance.

At the moment there is no sure fire way of extending the battery life. Keeping the clock speed that the stock minimum is the best that has come out of rooting the phone.

For flashing "roms" you should:
Wipe Data/Factory reset
Wipe Cache Partition
In the advanced menu Wipe Dalvik Cache
Then install the rom normally, no need to install gapps since these are just themed and tweaked stock roms

For the status 7 error:
Extract the rom
Browse to META-INF/com/google/android
Open updater-script with Notepad++
Remove the line "assert" next to the semi-colon
Save
Zip the rom back up
Install like normal
