The SMS app on my desrire hd has become corrupted. It permanently tries to load the 'create msg' screen, and fails. This slowed the phone to a crawl. I've managed to force a stop and downloaded a different SMS app to use.
That's ok. But when I tried to stop the notifications on the stock app, to avoid getting them twice, it just tried to load the 'create msg' screen again, and I had to force the stop again.
Re-starting the phone has made no difference.
Is there any way of re-installing it? Since it's the one that came with the phone (v.1.00), I can't uninstall it. I need it to be working so I can stop the notifications.
Any ideas?
