Stock T-Mobile Rom

Howdy

I'm on CM10 and TWRP. I'd like to try the stock ROM again, but I'm afraid of losing TWRP. Is it possible to install the stock ROM with TWRP?

If you didn't make a backup in recovery of your rooted stock rom before you flashed CM 10, you would have to use odin to go back to stock and then reroot and install TWRP.

Unless you really just want the stock ROM, it would be easier for you to flash one of the touch wiz based ROMs based off of the stock ROM. I am on Jedi Mind Tricks and it is awesome, and there are other ones out there as well.

I was going to say that. There is a Rooted Stock Android 4.1 rom for the t989. I tried it and I had issues with Hardware info showing up on the home screen without a way to remove it. But I understand I am in a minority.

Found a fix for the hardware info showing on the home screen.

You have to go into /efs/imei/keystr
and delete keystr and make a new file called keystr and use text editor in root explorer to type ON in it and reboot.

So far I have only been able to get it to work on rooted stock Android 4.1.2. Still figuring out the fix for the Jedi mind Trick rom which uses Touchwiz.
