Help Stock Txt Issue

I cant seem to get the stock txt to stop popping up. I recently flashed back from 2.2 to the out of box 2.1 and now I cant get the stock txt app to stop popping up... I have rooted my phone and froze the standard txt app but that did not work.

Attached is what pops up no matter what I do. I have cleared the defaults in the app for the stock txt. I have unchecked everything in the stock txt... I am at a loss and it is real annoying....:mad::mad::mad:

hmmm I can see the .apk files in root explorer but not in the manage apps and Titainium BackUp even with filters set to all...
 
Both should be in /system/app

bluremailengine's service is called com.motorola.blur.service.email
conversations service is com.motorola.blur.conversations

you should be able to find teh apk and/or the services in autostart (or atk, if it is running) i would think.

Try renaming them both, with root explorer, from .apk to .bak, then see if you're still having the pop-up. If it goes away rename them back to .apk and see what happens.

Lol what a noob... Im shot from working late lastnight... I was skipping past the com part.... DOH!!!

I truly apologize for my level of stupidity....... I never used the the stock txt app... The day I got my phone some one told me about handcent and I loved it so I used it but it must not have had the pop up checked for handcent.

All I had to do was uncheck the pop up for handcent... I truly thought that was the stock app... I can NOT believe the amount of time I put into that!!! I feel like the person that calls tech support because their cup holder (cd rom drive) is not working anymore....

I can root and un root with from a dos prompt I can put froyo on and flash back to org 2.1 but I can not tell the difference between stock and handcent pop ups...

Feel free to tar and feather me...

God I suck....
