Help Stolen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My tablet was just stolen from my house, does google track when a device logins in from a location?

Bot site how it would work with a tablet but try plan b by lookout int e market. Install it from your computer and it will turn GPS on remotely and give you a location. I'm assuming you need it connected to WiFi for everything ti work since its not a phone

To the OP, any type of tracking software would have to of been installed prior to the theft. If you were using Google Wallet and had credit card numbers and info stored on the device, then you probably need to contact Google.

To h4x0rj3ff, is your keyboard broke or something?

O wow sorry bout that lol. But yeah you install plan b AFTER your device is stolen or lost. Check it out in the play store

Plan b is your only option here. I like avasts theft protection. I install it and then do away with that antivirus bloat ;)

Thanks and yes I already removed my debit card from my play account deleted it and I did not set google wallet up but verified online none of my information was in it. Sadly there was no security installed on it before theft ( I know dumb) I will look into plan b though it does not appear the tablet has been attached to wifi.

Is there any way to flag the device as stolen with google so it cannot be used? or resold? or if it turns up it is flagged and information is collected on it?

Well for a phone you can blacklist it so it doesn't get activated again.

I'm pretty sure there's nothing like that you can do for a tablet since its WiFi only.

how did your tablet get stolen from your house ?
did they break in, did you leave the front door open ?

what else did they take ?

Plan B is not the only option, you can also sideload and install Android Lost from any PC, and that will track your device for you, it will also turn the GPS on if off, and also make the sound come on if off.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but any of these tracking apps need to have been given administrator rights before any advanced features like wiping or locking can be done, right?

So you should be able to track it, but not protect your data.

Yes, I believe plan b can only track.

Bottom line is you should prepare before hand

The answer is no for AL, can be installed remotely and give you what you need
