Help Stop the beeps!

I have been using my M for almost a month now...the one thing i cannot figure out is that i frequently get a notification....this happens often like every 20 minutes it seems....it sounds like a doorbell....the light doesnt come on...the screen doesnt light up....theres nothing in my notification bor or pane....its driving me nuts....does anyone have any ideas what this can be.....the sound sounds like a doorbell....best way i can descibe it

I get this a lot in my car. For me it's the Bluetooth connection being lost and then reconnecting. Try turning off your Bluetooth (if it's on) and see if it goes away. I'm not sure why my car Bluetooth connection comes and goes.

When I first got mine (this is my first smartphone) they used my gmail account at the store to get me going.

Well, it was set to have a notification, with sound, every time I got an email. I have had gmail as my primary email since the days when you had to have an invitation to open an account. I get some junk email every 1.5 minutes or so. I almost threw this thing out the window until I figured out how to change the notifications.
