Root Stop upgrade nag?

anode505

Newbie
I have a rooted prevail (gingerbread EJ06) but only use it for non phone tasks (using a LG Marque now)

I'm not interested in upgrading and re-rooting; at least at this point.
Is there a way to stop the non stop nagging to upgrade the phone?

TIA

I want to stop the software upgrade nag. I'm happy with the version on there now.

Auto starts will get rid of the nagging update. It is a paid app but it's cheap well worth it from the store. You install the app open it and scroll down and find Google framework there will be 4 of them it might be the third 1 down. System updates you will put a stop to that 1. Then you will have to clear the update that is in your cache folder. it's been so long if I have this wrong somebody please correct me. Thx.

Thanks man. $1.50 ain't bad. Now I gotta investigate what this thing will do, looks like a TON.

If you haven't purchased it I'm positive there are rooted options by just changing some files. I'm not familiar with your phone though so I can't give exact instructions.

It never hurts to support development though, so spending $1.50 isn't a bad option either

Yes there are other ways. That is an awesome app for a whole bunch of other things too well worth the money

autostarts is a very good app. just be careful because it can potentially screw things up..it can disable many many things that are apart of the system

If people would make a backup like we stress over and over and over, all you have to do is make a couple tweaks or adjustments see if that works and if it doesn't just restore your back up and start all over again.
