I got SICK and TIRED of my stupid phone waking from when I hit the volume keys.. SO I GOT MAD!
YOUR FAULT IF YOU BRICK YOUR PHONE YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG!
ANYWAYS phones don't like me when I'm angry.. I find a way to fix it..
MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP!
Just in case you want to go back to volume wakes.
After much research I found in /system/usr/ There is a layouts folder.. in this folder are .kl files.. in EVERY kl besides maybe one or two. it says:
Key ### (name of key) (what to do)
IE:
Key 182 Volume Up WAKE_DROPPED
Key 183 Volume Down WAKE
What I did was use root explorer to go to /system/usr/keylayout
And looked in EVERY file for
Key ### volume up WAKE/WAKE_DROPPED
Key ### volume down WAKE/WAKE_DROPPED
And made it look like this:
Key ### Volume Up
Key ### Volume Down
Soo all you have to do is Delete the wake or the wake_dropped part and then save it..
RESTART!
When you restart it will no longer wake because of the volume keys.
Things still in testing.. I DOUBT you have to change all of them.. BUT I Did because I didn't want to do one restart and check.. lol
ANYWAYS the volume keys will still up and down your volume but the screen will not turn on, I found this ULTRA nice with "PlayerPro"'s Change tracks with Volume control Settings
