Help Stopped being able to send nor rec. msgs.

Hi, new to the group. My EVO 4G again has stopped allowing me to send nor read text messages. This happened before and I had to do the factory reset, that wasn't too long ago that I did this, I also receive Error msgs. about unable to send but now when I tap to read a text all I receive is a white screen and "Loading", never loads the texts. Also I am now unable to send text, I am able to go out onto the Internet, use Facebook, etc. but again this is the 2nd time this has happened. Has anyone else had this problem with this phone?

Are you using the stock messaging app or a third party one? Also do you have any apps that have permission to read your text messages?

is your phone rooted? if not then is your phone on the latest update? i have never had any issue with my phone before like this.
