Stopping notifications on interaction

Hi All

I have a wav file as my incoming message notification and just noticed that it plays through in full, regardless of me interacting with the phone.

On previous devices (most recently Blackberry), any interaction with the device causes the notification to stop.

Is this something I can configure?

As I type, I realise that it was a Chrome2Phone notification, so I can't be certain that it does it with all notifications...

Any ideas?

My Galaxy S does it too. I had to use replace it with a shorter notification message.
