Root Stopping the market from updating???

So I had froze the market updater using titanium backup and it seemed to work, but then I installed the PunkRom and now the market updates everytime my phone reboots, any ideas what is causing this?? market updater is still frozen. God I hate the new market.

use root explorer to find and delete the "marketupdater.apk" under system/app directory... i used to use this trick on roms when i wanted to keep my themed market.
