Help Stopping Weather Animations

I cannot get the weather animations to turn off (at screen unlock). I have went into the display options and turned off all animations, then I turned weather animations off in the HTC Clock/Weather widget (the main one). I feel like I'm missing something simple and I am going to feel really dumb when someone points this out. . .

Thanks

Delete the widget off your screen, and then re-add it. Upon re-adding it, it will give you the option whether or not you want to use the weather animations.

Does anyone know of any other places that this might be turned on? It's really starting to annoy me now.

Did you ever use beautiful widgets and have the animation turned on there? Because I found that even after I deleted that from my homescreen, the effects would still happen until I went to menu and turned them off (while the animation is running).

I wonder if it would help to clear data and cache for HTC Sense in Settings/Applications? I'm just guessing...my current ROM seems to have the Sense clock modded to eliminate the weather animations so I can't check.

i have been trying to get the automatic updates to work for the weather/clock widget and every time i go into the settings to allow automatic updating, when i exit the settings it turns itself off every time. i like seeing the weather as soon as i unlock my phone on this widget but don't like that it doesn't automatically update and sometimes disappears.

any ideas?

Is it really that hard to tap the phone? I mean assumingly you're unlocking your phone at the time to use it...not like they don't stop as soon as you do so....

I do use Beautiful Widgets, but I've never had the animations turned on. I still wondered this though, so I uninstalled it and it still happened. And I have tried rebooting after turning the the animations.

AndroidRider, not really, but sometimes it can be kind of laggy and I'm not a big fan of that.
