Help Stops receiving SMS myseriously... need help desperately

I've posted about this before and I thought I had it figured out, but looks like I haven't. The issue is that my phone suddenly stops receiving text messages. I can send out but I can't get them back in. The only way I've ever had to fix it, which is a fail safe method, is to:

1. Put my sim card into another ATT phone
2. Let all the missed texts flood back in
3. Replace sim cards
4. Fixed.

Just after I thought I fixed the issue after not having it since removing ATK and switching to cogntition, it just happened. What. The. Hell. I've tried everything! Message center number, hard reset, re-flash, text message limit, mms limit, no app killers. THERE IS NO LOGICAL ANSWER.

Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong? I mean, I'm glad I at least have a, as inconvenient as it may be, method of fixing it, but seriously. Putting my SIM into another phone to fix MY phone? I love this thing inside out with the exception of this issue. IT IS DRIVING ME MAD.

Mine has done that three times now. The above method is the only way to correct it. The first time I called AT$T. The idiot said it happens all the time. Go find someone else and switch SIM's. I hate to think what the friendless ppl do. As soon as my contract is up, I'm gone. Sick of thier customer NO service. The Captivate rocks, however it's held back by AT$T. Shame on them. End rant.
