I just got a replacement phone and added the same dozen or so apps I had on the old one, and placed most of them on the SD card, but the phone I'm already out of memory??? How can that be? How do I delete more stuff off the phone without rooting it?

To get more space without root, you would have to either delete some of the apps you downloaded or....that's pretty much your only choice. You have to be rooted to REALLY get the space that it sounds like you need.

Check top see what the largest apps are. Browsers are bad at keeping a large cache and data storage. I use Dolphin because it can cache to the SD card and it is really easy to clear the HTML5 data when it gets large.

Also try alternative apps. For example the facebook app is 10 mb. But friendcaster is like 4

I think it requires that the regular FB app be installed for it to work.
