Help Storage vs. Email - HELP!

I'm going crazy. I just got the Bionic and have immediately run into a glitch. It seems that when I add my corporate e-mail account to the phone, it disables the internal and SD storage. It is greyed out and say "Unavailable".
Anyone ever see something like this happen? Is there a fix?

Is there a button below it that says 'Mount internal storage/SD card'?

If so click on that and it should mount the two.

OK, how many times has this happened? have you also verified that your SDCard is seated firmly?

I have tested it several times to confirm. once I wipe my phone and start over, the storage is ok. I can swap SD cards fine, all the functions are active etc.
This is not just effecting the SD card, but the internal storage as well.
As soon as I activate my corporate e-mail account, they are gone.

I have the exact same problem! I spent two hellish weeks talking to an endless stream of Verizon and Motorola techs and salespeople, trying to figure out why my phone stopped recognizing my SD card and internal storage within a day of each hard reset, even after getting TWO brand new Bionics, TWO new SD cards, a new battery, and a new SIM card. I just figured out on my own that it was my corporate sync. Every time I add corporate sync, my storage becomes unavailable (mount internal storage is grayed out, unable to click), and the only way to get it back is hard reset. I was able to access my corporate sync without trouble for a week or two, until teh morning of December 15, which is when this problem began. My IT Director insists that nothing changed in the server config that day. He has a Motorola Droid that is synced without trouble. I'm terrified to ever add my corporate email again and risk having to hard reset again. Will you please let me know if you figure out what is causing this problem? I will do the same for you!

' just been through this mess and I tried everything before finding a link on the Motorola site:

motorola-global-en-usa.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/71025/~/droid-bionic---corp-sync-provisioning-errors

I believe when it uses the phrase "now more robust" it means "really doesn't work"

So .. it's likely you can't have your IT turn off all the server side options that don't work so your best bet is to instead remove the Active Sync / Corporate Sync account. (Settings .. Accounts ...). Restart your phone and your storage should be available again. Then use an application like RoadSync or Moxier or there are others for a few bucks and you should be all set.
