Help Storing an App

I picked up (downloaded) an App because it was free for the day. However, I don't want the app to function on my phone at this time. Mainly I don't have time right now to configure it and I'm not really sure I want it, but as it was "free" I wanted to pick it up. App2SD won't move it to the SD card so how do I move the app?

I guess the next step would be how do I disable the app? Once installed, the app "works" which is good, but I don't want it to right now. I'm getting double notifications and other redundancies because I still have the stock app, this new app is designed to "improve", working. Force Closing the app, doesn't stop it from working. The very next time my phone rings, or gets a text...this new app takes over.

What if I just delete the app! Will I be able to go back to Amazon and download the app at a later time without a charge? Should it remain in my purchased app list?

You can uninstall the app. If you go back into the amazon app and tap menu-my apps you will still see the app there with an install button. You shouldn't be charged for it if you reinstall at a later date. I do this all the time and also installed the free apps on my tabs using the same amazon app account and all my free apps were there and I wasn't charged.

Another thing you can do, and this also works if the app wasn't from Amazon, is use Astro File Manager to back up the apk to your sd card. Open Astro>Menu>Tools>Application Backup. Select the app and backup. When you want to install, just open Astro, go to the backup folder select the app and tap to install.

I do this before I update an app, just in case I need to revert to an older version.
