Straight Talk

I'm on the $30 a month Montly 4G plan from T-Mobile, but I want to switch over to Straight Talk's $45 a month unlimited plan for the extra minutes. My question is should I get the AT&T SIM or the T-Mobile SIM for Straight Talk?

I'm getting 6Mbps down and 2Mbps up on T-Mobile right now. I haven't tried AT&T in my area. Any thoughts?

If you're happy with tmo then it might be easier to just stick with it unless you've heard that AT&T is superior in the area.

I decided it couldn't hurt to try AT&T since my speeds with T-Mobile aren't that great anyway. I can always switch to T-Mobile again next month. My only complaint is that Straight Talk charges $15 for a Micro SIM card. T-Mobile only charged $0.99.

I've heard of discount codes for sim cards on straight talk with promos. a quick google search might be helpful for it.

You better watch it using data if you use straight talk. They have a reputation for throttling after only 2GB

I would stick with T-Mo just because of ST's unwritten throttling policy. Numerous people have complained about it at Howard forum. What are you downloading, full length movies? I can't picture how 6 down and 2 up isn't fast enough. :p

In the last 2 weeks I have used a whopping 200MB of mobile data. If you couldn't tell i'm on wifi a lot.

Even if the Straight Talk data cap is 2GB I should be alright. Like I said i'll see how data speeds are on AT&T and if they're < 3Mbps i'll just get the T-Mobile SIM for Straight Talk next month. Even if don't use mobile data a lot I want it to be usable when I do need it. Then again anything will beat the 300Kbps I was getting on Sprint :D
