Strange application used wifi data network? application name 65536?

Noticed this today in my wifi data usage for the last month. A program, using an Android thumbnail, called 65536 used 456 Bytes of network connection, without a clue as to what it is, given the name.

Can anyone shed any light? Is it a virus? I've run both an AVG and avast scan and found nothing, but it's weird this random program ran itself via the internet.

I also have no apps beyond the stock android standard, so it can't be one of those. Help please? I'm worried it's something malicious!

I wouldn't worry to much, whatever it is, it cant be a malicious app, you have a stock phone, no apps installed right? 456 bytes is next to nothing.

1024 bytes = 1 Kilobyte
1024 Kilobytes = 1 Megabyte
1024 Megabytes = 1 Gigabyte

Perhaps a syncing process? Or a process to check the network? I wouldn't be too worried over it as its usage it rather small.

Yeah I did think it odd it was 400 bytes! But I've heard malicious tools can be small, that does seem overly small! Thanks for the words of assurance!

I have that problem also..but its different...it uses 12mb on my data usage..and i dont know if its an app or a system file or what..its -2025 (10mb) -31127(12mb) -10926 (1mb) etc...all of them had this " - " sign..anyone?

I've got two theories:

1) It could be an identifier assigned to an application that has been uninstalled since the usage was recorded.
2) It could be an identifier for an internal process.

Either way, I really wouldn't worry about it too much - particularly considering that its usage (456 bytes) is pretty much nothing.

Your device is a Sony, correct? The icons displayed indicate system processes such as Android OS, Google Services etc.

I noticed you posted about the problem in a Note 2 topic discussing its 4.3 update? Is your handset an Xperia Z1 or Z Ultra?
