Help Strange backlight issue.

Hey guys,

Seeking your input on a minor issue. I'm trying out the a Captivate via friend, and I've come to notice a slight issue with the backlight.

Is this bluish box around the yellowish box normal? I'm seriously considering buying the Captivate off him once he upgrades.

i dont see a blue, OR yellow box. i see a low-res picture of a captivate with a white screen.......
maybe your looking at it too closely?

Turn up your brightness, it's there. It's hard to get an accurate picture, trust me ..

Too much color/white balance is lost both in the picture taking as well as the person then viewing the picture on their own uncalibrated monitor. It's not really going to show up for us.

Take a new photo of the screen next to a pure-white reference, like a white sheet of paper. Ideally, use this sheet of paper to calibrate the white-balance on your camera prior to taking the photo (don't have it set to "auto"... you might need to refer to your camera's manual).

I am able to see the the colored boxes he mentions. The majority of the screen is a large vaguely yellow rectangle with a faint bluish-white border all around the perimeter. That said, I don't have that issue with my screen.
