Help strange bars in top menu

Yesterday, after uploading photos to Facebook, I was left with six bars in my notification space, and two uploading bars as well. That's a poor description, but don't know how else to say it.
I can't press them or anything, I can't clear them. Restarting the phone won't get rid of them. I really would rather not do a factory reset.

Any help or ideas greatly appreciated. Photos attached.

(It seems the stupidest thing that I can't upload pictures straight from my Android phone onto and Android forum. Having to go via PC)

Oh and I have a HTC Sensation.

Welcome to Android Forums! We are glad you joined us here!:)

I moved your thread into the HTC Sensation forum so that others with the same phone will see your post and help you resolve your issue.
Thanks,

I thought the problem might be more associated with Android rather than the Sensation, so that's why I posted in the lounge. But hopefully someone will be able to help.

Here are the screen shots.

Dave, I get that now and again too. Don't know what causes it though. Just go to the task manager and kill the Facebook app that is running, that will remove it straight away. If I am honest I think it's the Facebook app that causes that, it is a hideous horrrendous lame excuse of an app for a multi billion pound company. Shame on Facebook, my mates have iPhone's and say the same.

Thank you very much for that. Worked a treat!
