strange battery issue

Has anyone had this happen to them. My Droid was sitting on my desk next to me, it had about 80% battery life left, I get a few txt messages, and then its giving me the warning that my battery life is 15% and to plug it into the charger. Well I put it on the charger, and not even 30 seconds go by, and its fully charged. This has only happened once so far, but I am concerned is the battery slowly dying out, or is it just a glitch in the phone?

My fiance's Droid does that sometimes. She'll take it off the charger in the morning (at 100% obviously), and a few minutes later, the battery indicator will turn red. She just turns it off and back on, and it rights itself.

Weird !! Just happened to me today for the first time. I went to work with a fully charged battery. Got a notification that I had e-mail-looked at phone and had 5% battery left. Turned phone off for a minute-turned it back on and it was 100%- I figure Droid hiccuped or something.

It occasionally does it to me too. I assume it's some sort of bug in how the battery meter is handled.

That happened to me once too...glad to know its happened to others..im on rooted stock 2.1..
