Help Strange gsam battery usage

Just got a Sony Xperia M2 and still exploring optimum battery life. Generally getting 2 days out of it while playing with phone quite a bit so am pleased with that!

Had gsam battery monitor on my old Sony Xperia E and seemed pretty accurate.

However, on the new phone my screen usage is being reported as 2% and app usage at 98% - this is with over 5 hours screen on usage with the battery depleted to 30% which surely can't be right?

The stock app reports 8% screen usage which can't be accurate either unless Sony have come up with some new tech whereby screen use uses the least juice of anything?

I'm on Android 4.4.4 if that makes any difference or helps!

Oh and 30 hours WiFi on is being reported at zero per cent!

Is gsam broken on my phone?

Have you enabled Stamina Mode on the M2? That might be confusing things.

Sure it does - but something is definitely whacked here, as Slug suggested.

Yeah I have stamina mode on as making battery last long as possible is essential - I would have hoped to compare battery performance against normal mode but looks like not possible!

Would the native battery monitor also get confused as 8% still seems very low!

I will see what happens with stamina mode off while I am near a charger and stamina not as essential!
